We love our classic Cape Code-style house, and we hope someone can enjoy it while we are away on sabbatical. The house is near Amherst College/downtown (15-minute walk), UMass (25-minute walk), as well as elementary, middle, and high schools (5-15-minute walks). The neighborhood has quiet streets with sidewalks, as well as nature trails nearby. The main floor of the house includes a living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, mudroom, and an office/bedroom with a large adjustable height standing desk and a queen-sized wall bed that folds up into a second desk. Upstairs has the primary bedroom with a queen bed, another bedroom with two twin beds, and a bathroom. The basement includes large areas for play and TV, as well as an exercise room and laundry. The house is fully furnished and has updated appliances, a garage, and a large backyard (with treehouse!). Perfect for families with kids, but we welcome others as well. Some utilities are included (electricity, water/sewer, lawn/snow, and trash/recycling*). You can also have free access to wood for the fireplace. You would need to pay for natural gas for heat and hot water, as well as your preference of cable/internet provider (we are wired for fiber optic through GoNetSpeed or cable through Xfinity). *We pay for access to the town waste transfer station, but if you want curbside trash/recycling pickup, this would be extra. We would be happy to offer a discount if you are willing to mow the lawn and shovel the snow yourself. Send us a message so we can talk more.
