Welcome to my home. I would love to have you enjoy it while I am away in France for the semester. It is a 950 sq.ft haven on the second floor of a duplex built in 1900, with an interior staircase. You will love the original cachet with its brick walls (a classic Montreal feature), soaring ceilings, moldings and period lighting fixtures. You will appreciate the practicality of the renovated kitchen and bathroom. If you have a child, the space may also work for you. It has a bedroom with a Queen bed and electric fireplace, a big, gorgeous office and a second bedroom (small) with a double Murphy bed and small desk. The living room has a TV and a corner dining table. The kitchen is stunning and was renovated recently as was the bathroom with bath and shower combination. Laundry too! All the walls have original art that I have collected. I love my home. I think you will find it stylish yet homey and liveable. Happy to walk you through on video! The neighbourhood is the Plateau Mont-Royal, one of the most sought-after in Montreal. Nestled between two huge urban parks, a pedestrian avenue (all summer) and a huge selection of cafes, restaurants, theatres and shops, all only a few steps away. You would be a couple of minutes' walk to the Metro, and only 3 stops to Old Montreal and Chinatown. It's a 10-minute walk to Mont Royal, the mountain in the centre of the city where winter sports abound. Also skate at rinks in Parcs Laurier and La Fontaine, each less than 10 minutes on foot. It is only 5 metro stops to the train station, the Gare Centrale, where you can make your way to all points in Quebec and, in fact, across Canada. I often say it is the best neighbourhood in Montreal, if not the entire world.
