Charming Furnished Home in Walkable Seward, Minneapolis

We’re Bridget and Micah, a longtime couple who have called this Minneapolis home ours for many years. We’re currently making a big life transition and relocating to Seattle, but we’re not quite ready to let go of our home in Seward. Instead, we’re hoping to find someone who can enjoy the house and neighborhood while caring for the home with the same love and respect we’ve given it. We’ve loved living in Seward because it feels like a true neighborhood: friendly neighbors, great local businesses, walkable streets, parks, and a strong sense of community. Our home is cozy, eclectic, and full of character, and we’ve put a lot of care into making it a comfortable and welcoming place to live. We especially love the natural light, the backyard, and being able to walk to so many of our favorite spots. We’re looking for a responsible, communicative person, couple, or small household who is looking for a comfortable home base in Minneapolis and will treat the house thoughtfully. We’d especially love to find someone who appreciates an older home with personality, enjoys having a yard, and wants to feel connected to the neighborhood rather than simply passing through it. We’re open to people coming to Minneapolis for a sabbatical, academic appointment, fellowship, temporary work, a creative project, or another extended stay. What matters most to us is finding someone whose lifestyle and timeline are a good fit for the home and who will communicate openly with us while they’re living there. We’ll be relocating out of state, so we’re looking for someone who can be fairly independent while also being comfortable communicating with us about the house and letting us know if something needs attention. We’ll plan quarterly maintenance check-ins and want the arrangement to feel easy, respectful, and mutually supportive. Ultimately, we’re hoping to find someone who will feel at home here. This house has been a meaningful part of our lives, and it would make us happy to know it’s being cared for and enjoyed while we’re away. Happy to send more pictures or to a video tour if needed!
