Two bedroom, 2-story Pasadena condo near Huntington Library, Cal Tech

This condo is perfect for anyone working at Caltech or the Huntington. It's about a 10 minute walk to Caltech, about a 40 minute walk to the Huntington, and much quicker to cycle (there is a bicycle that you can use if you wish) or drive. Shops, restaurants, and banks are all within easy walking distance, including a Trader Joe's right on the corner. The nearest Gold Line subway station to downtown (Del Mar) is about 20 minute's walk away, as in Wholefoods. I managed very well without a car. The condo is spacious, with two double bedrooms upstairs (both ensuite) and an open-plan living/dining/kitchen (+ half bath) downstairs. Everything is very nicely appointed and easy to use. The sofa in the living room has a full size double sofa bed, so for short-term visits of family and friends it's possible to sleep up to 6 people comfortably. The condo is very quiet and a great place to work (there's a big table/desk in the living room, though because it's on the ground floor it is not always that light; there's also a smaller desk in one of the bedrooms upstairs which is lighter). The WiFi is fine. The front balcony (accessible by both bedrooms) is a real suntrap, in the mornings especially, though it is quite overlooked by neighboring apartments. The patio on the ground floor is less overlooked, though not enclosed. Michael and Deborah are great hosts and made everything super easy. It's a great place to stay!

This condo was a perfect home while I was working near Caltech, nicer and with more amenities even than expected from photos. The owners were a pleasure to deal with, the apartment was thoroughly equipped (including insteuction manuals, and their (optional) cleaner was also excellent. Also very well located for walking to many things.
