Our property is in a great location in Northcote, close to the Fitzroy boundary, Merri Creek, Brunswick Street shopping strip and lots of cycling trails. The house consists of two lounge rooms and two bedrooms. A third bedroom is used for our own storage. A maximum of 2 adults in the house. The house is not suitable for children. Both bedrooms in the main house are at the front of the house. The larger bedroom has a queen-sized bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and a table which can double as a desk. The other bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobes and chest of drawers. The smaller loungeroom has a good piano as well as a collection of sheet music which you are welcome to use. There is also a generous-sized desk in this room. The large loungeroom at the back of the house is open plan and overlooks the garden. It is adjacent to the kitchen which is bright and fully equipped with everything you could need. The house is clean and comfortable and has loads of natural light. The main loungeroom has a northerly, sunny aspect over the garden, great for the winter sun which streams into the back of the house. In summer the grapevine over the pergola provides shade and a pleasant area to sit. There is an air-conditioner at the back of the house for cooling in the hotter months and heating in the cooler months. There are also new reverse-cycle AC units in both bedrooms and in the smaller loungeroom. Of note: the house was restumped almost a year ago and as we wait for it to settle there is some cracking in the plaster. This is not so noticeable in the main loungeroom and smaller lounge room and bedroom, but more noticeable in the hallway and larger front bedroom. TV with Chromecast in the main living room. High speed, unlimited wifi in all rooms. During the period of your stay there will be a tenant (quiet, respectful) in the backyard studio, which is separate from the house, is screened from the house, and has its own access via the path at the side of the house. This pathway is shared, and the second washing machine located just outside the back door of the house, is for the tenant’s use. Otherwise, you will have complete privacy. We are located in Northcote, just a minute's walk from the tram and a 5 minute walk to the train. Melbourne University is a 10 minute drive away, or, if you prefer to ride, we can supply a bike or two. It will take about 15 minutes on quiet roads. The CBD can be reached by bike in 20-25 minutes. Northcote is a fantastic suburb and we are close to the action while being tucked away in a quiet street. High Street is a short walk away. There, you will find good restaurants and a lively music scene. We are also really close to parks, bike trails and public transport. We have easy access to two train lines, 2 tram lines, and buses which will get you just about anywhere. This is our home, and our garden. We have raised a family here. It is clean and comfortable but has its share of eccentricities, bumps and scratches. Its not perfect but we love it.
