We are again offering our large, bright apartment on the top floor of our historic home. We have been on both sides of the Sabbatical Homes equation for 15 years, in Paris, FR and Toronto, Canada. Our house is on a lovely street in the neighbourhood of High Park-Roncesvalles near a Montessori pre-school, an elementary school with a French Immersion program, highly-regarded junior and senior high schools, including one offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. There’s ample on-street parking if you have a car. It’s close to public transit direct to downtown universities, highways, & the airport. Previous guests say: “We moved in as a family with one child and we stayed for 5 years at 12 High Park Gardens, because we felt in love with the place. The apartment is one of the most beautiful in a beautiful area and we highly recommend it. The apt is perfect for a couple or for a couple with a child. It has beautiful light, views from the windows and a very nice wood floor and white walls. The apartment is insulated and air conditioned. We always felt comfortable, winter and summer. The kitchen faces east so in the morning you can admire the beautiful view bathed in morning sun. It couldn't get any better for a good start to the day! The kitchen is not big but very functional; you have absolutely everything you need there. The bathroom is comfortable. The large window faces a 300-year-old oak. At any time of the year, the view will melt you. The bedroom is equipped with a comfortable bed. The living room is spacious and another room is suitable for an office or a children's room, depending on your needs. Each of the rooms has a large closet, as does the hall and living room. The location is fantastic, close to High Park (3 mins), streetcars, 7 mins walk to the charming Roncesvalles street with its groceries, clothes shops, produce shops, florists, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy, cinema and much more. 10 mins walk to the nearest metro station. A 15 min walk through High Park will get you to the beach by Lake Ontario. The hosts, Mark and Carolyn are extraordinary. We always felt we could count on them (especially in the pandemic). We will miss them very much and we wish everyone such a great apartment rental." "My family and I loved living at 12 HPG... we felt at home from the day one. We knew every good restaurant, park, school, bakery, daycare center, grocery store, toy store, doctor, dentist etc before we even arrived thanks to Carolyn's guidance. The house was in great shape & there were no issues, however, if one came up, it would certainly have been handled promptly. Carolyn, Mark and the kids have become great friends with the family. When we had to finally find our own place, we chose to stay close by." "Nous avons été locataires au 12 HPG à partir de septembre 2013 - date à laquelle nous sommes partis de France pour nous installer au Canada - et jusqu'en juin 2014, soit 10 mois au total. Tout d'abord, nous avons été séduits par la maison qui était très bien conçue et équipée. Ensuite, il est important de préciser combien le quartier est génial: de très bonnes écoles, un grand parc, de bons restaurants et beaucoup de magasins à proximité. Le voisinage est très agréable et accueillant. D'ailleurs, nous avons par la suite acheté une maison dans ce quartier (raison pour laquelle nous avons quitté le #12 HPG). Et enfin, le plus important, Mark et Carolyn ont été des propriétaires très attentifs et toujours bienveillants à notre égard. Durant notre location, ils ont toujours été très disponibles: joignables facilement, prompts à réagir, et heureux de nous aider quelle que soit notre demande. Ils ont toujours fait en sorte que la maison reste bien entretenue et que notre vie dans leur demeure soit paisible et facile. Nous avons été vraiment très satisfaits et nous recommandons vivement à toute personne la maison de Carolyn et Mark."
