Garden House Tokyo

We stayed at this apartment in October 2017, and could not have been more pleased with the accommodation. It was spacious and filled with natural light, but still very private. The kitchen was a highlight. Very modern and well stocked with dishes, cutlery, pans, and cooking utensils. The refrigerator was large and new. Additionally, there is a microwave, toaster, french press coffee pot, and rice cooker. The shower was excellent with very good water pressure and plenty of hot water from the on-demand system. Of course, the fancy Toto toilet provided all the comforts, bells & whistles. A washing machine is provided with adequate space to hang dry clothes outside or inside. The bed was very comfortable and the adjacent desk space is huge. Plenty of room to spread out one's project, with adequate bookshelves, outlets and lighting. The wi-fi was consistently available and the signal seemed strong. We liked being somewhat removed from the frenetic energy of Tokyo, yet appreciated the ease of the commute into the city. The train and subway stations are about a 15 minute walk. The system is easily navigated by english speakers and maps are readily available. A twenty minute commute gets one almost everywhere in the city. Narita Airport is especially close by and served by an express train. There is a well stocked grocery store within a five minute walk and plenty of retail stores near the station. Our hosts were very helpful responding to requests and providing directions, but also respected our privacy. I never even thought about them being right next door, until I needed something, and then they happily obliged. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it without reservations.
