Looking for a centrally located, family friendly home!

We're an Australian/American family currently based in Brooklyn, NY with our two school-aged daughters. Having lived the better part of 14 years in NYC, we're looking forward to spending quality time in Australia where we hope to expose our daughters to their Australian culture and spend time with family and friends. We're interested in living in a family friendly home in a dynamic neighborhood with good schools, convenient transportation links and local amenities (green space, cafes, restaurants). Kaitlin works in the cultural sector, where she provides leadership support for education initiatives in museums, archives, libraries and parks. Simon's a systems engineer specializing in emergency response infrastructure. We met in London while Simon was on a work exchange and Kaitlin in graduate school. We own our two-family 1899 row house in Brooklyn, which we've lovingly restored over the past decade. We reside in the duplex unit and rent an additional self-contained apartment to tenants. We'd be very interested in arranging an exchange if such an arrangement is possible.
