Description
I am a university researcher, educator, housing practitioner, and experienced home steward seeking a quiet, furnished Ottawa home beginning October 2026, with some flexibility. Ottawa remains an important base for my teaching, research, professional work, and community relationships. During the academic year, I may travel periodically to Montréal for doctoral commitments while remaining the responsible tenant and caring attentively for the home throughout the agreed term. I live independently, keep regular hours, and value a calm, respectful, non-smoking environment. I am tidy, respectful, and conscientious, and bring a quiet, low-impact presence. I am open to an entire home, guest suite, apartment, or private space within a shared home, provided there is a suitable study, den, or dedicated workspace for focused research and occasional Zoom calls. Clear household boundaries and reliable high-speed internet are important. I also provide extended home and pet stewardship for Ottawa households and am comfortable assisting with pets, plants, mail, deliveries, and light property oversight. Any responsibilities, availability expectations, or related rent arrangements should be clearly discussed and agreed upon in advance. My professional background includes architecture, housing assessment, climate resilience, community development, and university teaching.
