uOttawa researcher & home steward seeking furnished home (October)

Description

I am a University of Ottawa–affiliated academic, researcher, and housing practitioner seeking a quiet, furnished home for a medium-term stay beginning October 2026 (flexible) while continuing teaching, research, and community-based projects in Ottawa. I work independently, keep regular hours, and value a calm, respectful living environment. I maintain a low-impact presence and take thoughtful care of the homes entrusted to me. I am comfortable with owner absences or shared-use arrangements within clearly agreed expectations, including basic property oversight (plants, mail, general upkeep), and am equally comfortable with pets and animal care where needed. In addition to my academic and research work, I currently provide extended home and pet stewardship services for Ottawa households, bringing a strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and care to the homes in which I live. I am open to a furnished room, apartment, shared home, guest suite, or house-sitting arrangement where expectations and responsibilities are clearly discussed in advance. Ideally located within reasonable distance of the University of Ottawa, with walking, cycling, or transit access preferred. References are available upon request.
