Seeking week- or month-long stays in Utrecht or Amsterdam

Hello! my name is Lisa and I'm a 45 year old Canadian woman. My father was born in the Netherlands and I'm looking to reconnect to my roots and learn some Dutch during a 3-4 month stay in the Netherlands in the spring/summer of 2027. I'd love to stay in your home during some or all of this time! About me: I am a homeowner myself and know how important it is to trust whoever stays in your home. My husband and I live in a house in Victoria BC in a wonderful community. I enjoy reading and writing, gardening, hiking, camping, being in nature, exploring cities, travelling to new places, and volunteering in my community. I'm a trustworthy person and love to take care of plants and animals. My profession: I'm an independent consultant and writer working in the area of climate policy, specializing in the low-carbon resilient building sector. I mainly help cities develop policies and programs to reduce emissions and help them engage with the public and key stakeholders to do it. I have a PhD from the University of British Columbia and maintain a connection to academia via multiple partnerships. My husband is an instructor at the University of Victoria. What I'm looking for: I'd love to find a place to stay during a 3-4 month stay in the Netherlands, with a focus on Utrecht but also willing to explore Amsterdam or other areas. My primary goal during this time is to reconnect with my roots and learn some Dutch, with a secondary goal of connecting with one or more universities for knowledge exchange. I am happy with either a longer term stay or a few shorter term stays, but would ideally like the flexibility to travel occasionally during my time.
