Academic family looking for a place in Carlton North or near by

Hi, We are a family of four who arrived in Melbourne in mid-April, relocating from Paris. My husband Paul Keeler is an Australian and a mathematics lecturer at the University of Melbourne. I am a French linguistics lecturer at the University of Poitiers, currently on parental leave. We have two children, Émile (3,5) and Louise (2). Having greatly enjoyed several shorter stays in Melbourne over the years, we have decided to make the move to Australia as a family. We are looking to rent for up to a year or more and are flexible on the exact dates. Our favourite neighbourhoods from previous visits have been Carlton North, Fitzroy North, Fitzroy and Brunswick (East).
