I'm a writer for UN agencies and other nonprofits, and a museum educator. I've lived in NYC since 2008 and have excellent professional and rental references. As a writer, I'm a quiet guy, friendly and respectful of property and neighbors. More about me at www.paulvdc.com.

Comments: Preferred neighborhoods are Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Astoria
Comments: Prefer laundry in the building. Quiet is key, sunlight is more than welcome.
I've sat for many cats and dogs and have a profile on TrustedHousesitters.com. I grew up with cats and dogs, and I even worked at the San Francisco SPCA many years ago.
Happy to help with this.
Happy to help with plants if there are any. I'm not a green thumb by nature but can water plants and follow instructions.

I'm a writer for the United Nations and other leading social-impact organizations. I'm also a museum educator and maker of collages and photo series and such things. (I'm reluctant to call myself an "artist.") I've traveled to about 30+ countries on 5 continents, sometimes for work, sometimes not. I have a bachelor's degree from Brown University and master's degrees from Harvard Divinity School and the Harvard Kennedy School. I'm not in academia, though I do have several close friends in academia. I've lived in NYC since 2008, and lived in San Francisco between 1991 and 2008, except for grad school 1997-2000. I'm originally from the Boston area. I got connected with Sabbatical Homes through the Fulbright program -- I was a Fulbright Specialist and did a project in Laos to raise money for removing unexploded ordnance.

Comments: I'm looking for housing for 1-12 months or more. Prefer the UES or UWS for proximity to museums and organizations I work for.
