Description
We are a family of 4 who will be living in Valencia for 3 months. Maxwell (35) recently completed his MD/PhD in sociocultural anthropology with a focus on long-term care institutions, and will be starting residency in Family Medicine in June 2027. Michal (35) is a public criminal defense attorney for low-income individuals in Los Angeles. Our son, Saadi, will be 4 years old, and our new daughter, Zahara, will be between 9-12 months old during our trip. We are looking forward to becoming more fluent in Spanish, learning about local life and politics, and integrating into Valencian community as much as possible during our short stay. // Somos una familia de 4 personas que planea vivir en Valencia durante 3 meses. Maxwell (35) completó recientemente su MD/PhD en antropología sociocultural con un enfoque en instituciones de cuidado a largo plazo, y comenzará su residencia en Medicina Familiar en junio de 2027. Michal (35) es un abogado defensor público para personas de bajos ingresos en Los Ángeles. Nuestro hijo, Saadi, tendrá 4 años y nuestra nueva hija, Zahara, tendrá entre 9 y 12 meses durante nuestro viaje. Esperamos practicar español, familiarizarnos con la vida y la política local e integrarnos en la comunidad valenciana tanto como sea posible durante nuestra corta estadía.

About Me
We are a couple in our mid-30s with a with a wonderful 4-year-old son (Saadi) and newborn daughter (Zahara). Maxwell recently finished his PhD in sociocultural anthropology at UCLA, and is currently completing medical school before starting Family Medicine residency in 2027. Michal previously worked in social services and community organizing and is now a public criminal defense attorney. We love to explore new place, cook meals for friends, spend time outdoors, and re-experience the joys of childhood with our kids.
