Psychologist Seeking Bright Quiet Space in Victoria (Sept–Dec/Spring)

Hi, I’m a licensed psychologist relocating to Victoria this fall to take a permanent position at Tall Tree Health. I’m looking for a comfortable, quiet, temporary home starting September 1st for approximately 3–6 months while I get to know the city and find a long-term place to call home. As a quiet, mature single woman, I value peaceful environments and clean, bright spaces that feel like a sanctuary. Professionally, I work full-time in clinical practice and have taught distance graduate-level courses at the University of Missouri for over a decade. I’m also collaborating on a 40-year retrospective study on therapists’ use of personal therapy—work that keeps me intellectually engaged and reinforces my appreciation for a calm, comfortable living space. As a tenant and neighbor, I take pride in being reliable, respectful, and low-maintenance. My days are unhurried by design. I spend my leisure time meditating, reading, writing, and making art (drawing and collage). I respect shared walls, quiet hours, and common areas. I’m happy to water plants, collect mail/packages, and provide peace of mind while you’re away. An ideal setting would be a bright space with a washer, in a safe neighborhood with reliable transit to James Bay (commute under 20 minutes). Access to green space is important to me: a view of trees or gardens, or ideally a balcony or shared yard where I can step outside. From what I’ve read, neighborhoods like Fairfield, James Bay, Rockland, or Fernwood would be a good fit. That said, I’m open to anywhere that speaks to the brightness, transit, safety, and quiet needs. I share my home with two adult female cats who are quiet, affectionate companions.
