Looking for 6-12 month rental in or near North Berkeley

I am a very active and still working 68-year woman. I just sold a house I owned with my ex in Kensington. I want to wait and see what happens to the housing market (and election) till I buy again. I'm staying in SF but want to return to a place as close to Kensington/North Berkeley/El Cerrito as possible since the core of my community live around there. I am very social and would love a good kitchen and area to have dinner parties. I run and hike for 2-3 hours every day and want to be close to Tilden if at all possible. I work as an external evaluator for NSF-supported projects (yes still a few left) that increase participation and persistence in engineering, biotech and other STEM disciplines for under-represented groups. I have many plants that are currently with friends that I would love to bring home -- even to a 6-12 month rental. My two dogs are the best companions and super well behaved. I am willing to offer a nice deposit for those worried about hosting dogs as I know they have no interest in destroying or damaging anything. I take them to airbnbs all the time with friends and we always get top ratings.
