Postdoc Looking for Short-term Room or Studio

I'm joining the University of Washington as a postdoctoral researcher on September 28th, moving from Ann Arbor where I recently finished my PhD at the University of Michigan. My research is on moral reasoning and cooperation. I'm looking for somewhere to live from around the 18th of September. I'm arriving ahead of my family. My wife and children will join me once she's found work in Seattle, and we'll move to a family house at that point, so I'm looking for something month to month rather than a fixed lease. I'd expect to need it for at least three months and quite possibly longer. What would suit: a self-contained studio, garden flat or in-law apartment, or a room in a quiet house. North Seattle preferred, though anywhere within reach of campus would work. Roosevelt, Maple Leaf, Ravenna, Wallingford, Green Lake, Northgate and Lake City are all ideal, but I'm flexible. Budget: $1,000 to $1,800 per month. Two practical things I need: somewhere to park a car, and somewhere covered to keep a bicycle. About me: I'm in my mid-thirties, married with two young children, a non-smoker, quiet and clean. No pets with me. I'm glad to provide references and happy to answer any questions. I arrive in Seattle on about the 18th of September and can view in person any time from then. Greg
