Last month I received a request from a lovely Brazilian academic couple to rent our Paris apartment for two weeks next summer. During the negotiations, she asked the price for one month, and I offered her a slight discount to encourage her. She accepted, and upon signing the Lease Document, she noticed that we live in Berkeley and asked if our house is ever available (she and her husband went to graduate school here). I responded, "Not until January 2018, but then for six months."
