I F E L L I N L O V E with it because: - the MORNING SUNSHINE FLOODS IT, so each day feels destined to be a happy one: - it used to belong to a FAMOUS FRENCH WRITER; - you can have BREAKFAST IN BED whilst SUN-BATHING; - its TYPICALLY FRENCH wooden floorboards and "poutres" (ceiling beams); - it's close to the wonderful CANAL SAINT MARTIN, a delightful tree-lined canal which splinters off the Seine (just past Notre Dame) to meander through Paris, past Opera Bastille and the Marais, to La Villette (amazing Science Museum, great jazz and music venues) and beyond. It's voted as one of the top places in Paris for a first date! - the studio is in CENTRAL PARIS (with metro and bus stops just 1 minute's walk away) and a great mix of stores, restaurants and bars; - it has a Dyson AIR PURIFIER with HEPA and activated carbon filters which make it cool and breathing really pleasurable; - last but not least, it's on the 4th floor with an ELEVATOR in CENTRAL PARIS. L O C A T I O N , L O C A T I O N , L O C A T I O N . . . This is a hip yet relaxing neighbourhood, full of really great eateries and shops. You'll find a mix of writers, artists, doctors and high-fliers alike. You can walk in any direction and stumble on something wonderful (like the Canal Saint Martin) or weird* or whacky**. The CANAL SAINT MARTIN area is where Parisians come to chill at waterfront cafés and amazing restaurants. While you're here, why not hire a bike for the day and CYCLE along the towpath to the medieval town of Meaux, to taste the world-famous BRIE (which gets its name from there : the cheese's full name is 'Brie de Meaux'). The town also has a beautiful cathedral and episcopal palace. P E R F E C T B A S E for both a P A R I S & a E U R O P E A N T O U R The apartment is also a short taxi ride from the Gare du Nord : brilliant if you are traveling to London, Amsterdam or Bruges/Ghent by Eurostar (it takes just over 2 hours to London), or the Gare de l'Est and Gare de Lyon (fancy a romantic week-end in Italy, Switzerland or Germany)? * The 'Musée des Moulages' is across the street. This secret museum lies within the grounds of the Hôpital Saint-Louis and holds a collection of 5,000 wax moldings of dermatological diseases from the 19th century. It's so quirky that the museum was listed as an historic monument. Please be warned however that it is not suitable for children or the faint hearted. ** If instead you'd like to improve your French and have some fun, head for the 'Palais des Glaces', one of the premier comedy theatres in Paris, only a block away from home .
