Peaceful family home in the Dordogne

Description

My home is a spacious, airy, three-bedroom, two-bathroom house over three levels with a small, fully enclosed garden and a small swimming pool. With a dedicated study/office space, three bedrooms and a small home gym, it's ideal for writers or for a family getaway. It's just on the edge of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, a medieval town on the Dordogne river in the heart of wine country between Bordeaux and Bergerac. It's on the high-speed rail link and main road between the two cities, and the house is about ten minutes walk from the station. The main attraction in the town is the Saturday market, which recently won an award for "France's most beautiful market". I'm a freelance consultant and associate lecturer in business communications, and I often have to travel to London (where my family and many of my clients are based) or Paris to teach. So my home in the Dordogne is often available for short or longer term rentals or exchanges. I share my life with Rosie, a gentle, well-mannered, middle-aged Bearded Collie. For home exchanges, we'd need some flexibility to accommodate her in return, and rentals may not be suitable for anyone with pet allergies.
