Description

The farmhouse was built in 1693 on three levels. One modern addition to the field is a wooden pergola built to hold the solar panels. It is a welcome addition which provides shade for outdoor relaxing and dining. The ground floor has a large terrace and eat in kitchen with fireplace. There are two living room seating areas and two bedrooms on the second floor with ensuite bathrooms. The bath in the master bedroom looks out over the Castle. We call this the loo with a view. The house is surrounded by olive groves and fruit trees. It is 900 meters from the main road which goes north to Florence and south to Siena, You might hear wild boar in the fields at night and the next morning see their handy work. We don't need to plow. The walls in the house are almost a meter thick and we don't have air conditioners.. With ceiling fans in the kitchen and bedrooms our place stays cool. Sun rises and sun sets are magnificent from the ground floor terraces, second floor bedrooms and living rooms.
